Our story.

Advance-Tek started in 2007 with a single and simple objective: enable Canada's already overwhelmed innovators to participate in the under-utilized and overly-complex SR&ED program.

While the concept may sound simple, it isn't. Busy managers and company executives are already under the gun. They have limited funds and resources to develop their idea. And while the benefits of Canada's lucrative and one-of-a-kind SR&ED program are attractive, companies fear that the effort they divert from critical business functions to pursue an SR&ED claim will result in a less than optimal return or no return at all. linked in	Mark Wolff Mark is one of the managing partners at Advance-Tek, having graduated from Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist with the distinguished graduate award. Having an extensive background working in consulting, engineering, business development and project management, Mark was exposed to the SR&ED program nearly a decade ago and immediately recognized the potential of the program and its under-utilization. It was time for a career tweak with specialization in SR&ED. Nine years later, Mark has helped more than 100 companies in various industries maximize their SR&ED returns, and is responsible for managing Advance-Tek's overall management of client SR&ED claims.
linked in	Clayton Sparks Every 'circus' needs a 'show pony' don't they? Well...while the "Clydesdales" are plugging away at the technical and financial details of our clients' claims, Clay is generally found sharing a java or a few bevies with prospective new clients or chatting with new alliance partners. A large part of the new clients that come our way is due to referrals from existing clients as well as various industry groups that have members who could use our help! As a founding partner of Advance-Tek, Clay is extremely pleased with the current client base and the team in place to make it all happen, and loves to hear when the guys "hit it out of the park" for our clients! Cuz...that's what we're here to do! When Clay isn't in the nearest Starbucks or on a sunny deck enjoying a spirit with a budding connection, you can probably find him at his cabin enjoying time with his young family & friends. Boating, quadding, fishing, sledding, working out at the gym, hitting the open road on his bike, baking in the sun, and a little bit of philanthropy are a few of Clay's passions! Can anyone else tell that Clay wrote some of this himself?
linked in	Greg Reimche Greg is a technical analyst with Advance-Tek and manages an impressive portfolio of clients. Having graduated from the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, where he also served as the President of the Mechanical Engineering Technologists Association, Greg began his career as technical support for a national hydraulic and pneumatic design and supply company. He soon after earned certification as an Applied Science Technologist as well as Fluid Power Specialist and Electro-Hydraulic Design Specialist. Greg brings a diverse and technical background to Advance-Tek, and has a professional understanding of a variety of industries, technologies, and business processes.
linked in	Kevin Unger At one point Kevin had the same dream as many Canadian kids: make the NHL draft! When that dream was tragically crushed by a meteorite the size of Manitoba, he turned to the University of Saskatchewan and then to a more interactive role working with high school kids in a youth ministry role. Kevin then moved on the restaurant industry where he served as the General Manager of one of Saskatoon's more popular destination points. Kevin brings years of experience working with people and managing projects to Advance-Tek. In a client relationship and advisory role, Kevin adds the horsepower necessary to allow the firm to continue to exceed client expectations as the company grows. Kevin has made a triumphal return to the ice as a hockey coach for his 9 year old son, and is a huge fan of his daughter and her acting performance in the Sound of Music this past summer in Saskatoon. Kevin has been married to Carla, his best friend, for 17 years. Kevin's (let's say interesting) hobbies include collecting hats. Baldness struck him at a young age, and like he said to his wife the first time he shaved his head: "Why would I want to keep something that so obviously has no interest in sticking around?” Cigars are another passion of Kevin’s to the point of him constructing a building to look and function like a garage in order to have place to enjoy his Don Paco’s in Canada's cold winters. Oh, and Kevin sports a VW tattoo on his chest...okay, not really, but he brands himself a Volkswagen-man for life!
	Jeff De Roche A degree in management with specialization in marketing and financial accounting, Jeff sees to Business Development at Advance-Tek, in addition to being the company's head of tech nerdom. Yes, you read that right... Having worked in oil and gas and government sectors for more than 12 years specializing in software development and business development, Jeff brings a vast amount of industry and technical experience, as well as first-hand participation as one of Advance-Tek's early clients. Having experienced for himself the value of Canada's SR&ED program, Jeff looked no further than Advance-Tek as the team to join to help other companies realize the benefits of the program. Outside of the office, Jeff takes to the skies as a pilot, sometimes with his 6 year old navigator. Also father to a gorgeous baby girl, Jeff spoils his underlings with trips to the neighbourhood swimming pool, Scooby-Doo cartoons (pre-Scrappy of course), and shooting hoops on a 'big-boy' net.
